Anethum graveolens

Description : Easy to grow. Leaves for salads and sauces, inflorescences for marinades of all kinds. Tastes very good with Cucumber (cucumber salad with dill and yoghurt…Miam!).
Sowing : April-May in open grounds or all year long on the window sill. Don’t cover the seeds and keep the soil moist.
Germination, soil temperature : 10-15 days, minimum 12°C
Site : Sunny and warm on the window sill, moist and warm soil on open grounds, rich in humus. Avoid water logging.
Blooming/harvesting time : All year long on the window sill. 6-8 weeks after sowing on open grounds, until the first frost.
Tip : Don’t cook the leaves! But the umbels have to be cooked for the full flavour release.
